Peripheral Vascular Disease: Smoking leads
to peripheral vascular disease by playing a role in narrowing the
arteries. After blood flow is disrupted, then there is a
higher potential for limb threatening syndromes such as
#1 gangrene of
the foot.

Oral (mouth/throat/tongue) Cancer: Can be caused
from chewing tobacco or smoking. The direct contact with
carcinogens in the chewing tobacco is thought to be the cause,
while in smoking it is a combination of heat and
carcinogens.

By age of
12, Sean Marsee started using spit tobacco. When he was 18, Sean
was diagnosed with tongue cancer. At age 19 Sean died of oral
cancer.
