Self Hypnosis
  • Wear a rubber band on your wrist
  • When you have an urge to smoke snap the rubber-band and quietly say to yourself--"No..stop!"
  • Do this every time an urge occurs.  The more you do this the greater the time between impulse will become.
  • Breath in deeply, 1-2-3-4, and out deeply when you say this.  
  • Eventually you will be able to get rid of the rubber-band and simply tell your urges..."No...stop".  Realistically, how long does this routine conscious effort over the subconscious impulses need to occur?   One year.
